Ask & Answer Club: ALIA "Big Tech, Big Ideas" event, Thursday 26th April

Big tech can mean big ideas. What should we expect from the development and evolution of technology over the coming years, and how might it impact on what we do and the way we do it?

Telstra's Head of Technology, Andrew Scott, will share ideas about what our future might hold. Kate Torney, State Library of Victoria's CEO will respond to the presentation and draw out some of the ideas presented.

Join us for our first Ask + Answer Club event for the year, as we listen to the recording of the event and discuss the key points raised afterwards (if time permits). Note that you must be an ALIA member to attend this event. Details on how to join ALIA can be found at https://membership.alia.org.au/membership

If you are participating in the ALIA PD Scheme, you may claim 2 points for this activity.

What is the Ask + Answer Club?

It’s kind of like a book club, but for professional development! It’s an informal gathering for GLMAR people to discuss hot topics and interesting issues affecting the sector. It can be difficult to set aside time to devote to PD, so the Ask + Answer Club is a chance for you to get together with like-minded people to discuss, learn and document your discoveries as part of the ALIA PD Scheme.
